How co-op works

Up to three players clear side-scrolling stages locally or online, choosing complementary classes and combining melee, ranged, and magical attacks. Looted weapons, learned skills, mounts, and war machines expand each hero’s options across the campaign.

About this game

Sacred Citadel is a side-scrolling action brawler set in the fantasy world of Ancaria. The Ashen empire has enslaved the population and unleashed the Grimmoc hordes to destroy the Seraphim guardians. Up to three players fight together through waves of enemies in classic beat 'em up fashion, choosing from warrior, ranger, mage, and shaman classes.

Players hack, slash, and cast their way through levels filled with loot, unlockable skills, and upgradable gear. Each class brings different attack styles and abilities, encouraging coordination as you juggle crowd control, heavy strikes, and ranged support. Boss fights and environmental hazards keep the action varied, and leveling up your hero between stages adds a light progression layer.

The game supports local multiplayer with same-screen or split-screen play, plus Steam Remote Play Together for online sessions. These co-op runs work best when everyone brings a different class, creating chaotic but satisfying teamwork as you fight to reclaim Ancaria one level at a time.
