How co-op works
Up to three players enter the host’s dynamically generated campaign, combining weapons, mods, traits, and armor against enemy groups and bosses. Character progression and acquired items travel home with guests, but world and campaign progress remain tied to the host.
About this game
Remnant: From the Ashes blends third-person shooting with RPG progression in a dark, apocalyptic setting. Up to three players team up online to fight through hordes of nightmarish enemies spawned by an ancient evil. Every run reshuffles environments and loot, keeping sessions unpredictable and rewarding different strategies each time you dive in.

Combat demands coordination and smart loadout choices. Players scavenge weapons, mods, and armor to customize their builds, then face boss encounters that punish reckless play and reward well-timed dodges, cover use, and covering fire. Communication tightens the experience, especially when a teammate goes down mid-fight or a miniboss appears from an unexpected angle.
Online co-op supports up to three players and scales enemy difficulty accordingly. Sessions range from tense dungeon crawls to extended campaigns where you rebuild outposts and unlock new gear trees. The procedural structure and build variety give squads plenty of reasons to run the same zones again with fresh tactics.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many players can team up in co-op?
Up to three players can join forces online to fight through the campaign together. Enemy difficulty scales based on how many players are in your session.
Is there local split-screen co-op or only online?
Remnant: From the Ashes supports online co-op only. There is no local split-screen or couch co-op option.
Can I play through the entire game solo, or is co-op required?
The game fully supports single-player, so you can tackle the entire campaign alone if you prefer. Co-op is optional but scales the difficulty when friends join.
Does the game have good replayability for co-op groups?
Yes. Environments and loot are procedurally generated, so each run reshuffles layouts and rewards. Combined with different build options and strategies, squads have plenty of reasons to replay zones with fresh tactics.
