How co-op works
Two Monarchs share one kingdom locally in split screen or online, riding independently to explore, recruit subjects, and spend coins on common farms, walls, towers, and troops. Coordination keeps both borders supplied by day and defended from Greed each night.
About this game
Kingdom Two Crowns is a side-scrolling micro-strategy game where one or two players take on the role of monarchs trying to reclaim and defend their kingdom from relentless waves of creatures known as the Greed. The game supports both solo play and true cooperative multiplayer, allowing a second ruler to join forces locally or online.

Players explore a minimalist pixel world on horseback, gathering coins, recruiting villagers, and constructing fortifications to withstand the nightly assaults. Strategic decisions about expansion, defensive structures, and resource allocation shape every session, and coordinating with a co-op partner adds a layer of tactical depth as you divide responsibilities and protect both flanks of your growing settlement.
Both online co-op and local split-screen are supported across Windows, Mac, and Linux, making it flexible for different setups. Sessions demand communication and shared planning, especially when deciding when to expand, when to fortify, and how to respond to mounting pressure after dark.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can two players play through the entire campaign together?
Yes, the full game can be played cooperatively with two monarchs either locally via split-screen or online. Both players work together to build defenses, manage resources, and survive the nightly Greed attacks across the entire campaign.
Do both players need to communicate and coordinate, or can we play independently?
Communication and coordination are essential. You'll need to discuss when to expand your kingdom, how to allocate resources, and which player defends which flank. The nightly waves and shared economy mean you can't really succeed without planning together.
Does the second player join as an equal monarch or as a helper?
The second player is a full co-monarch with equal abilities. Both players ride horses, gather coins, recruit villagers, and build structures. You're working as two rulers of the same kingdom rather than one leader and one assistant.
Can we play local co-op on the same screen or is it split-screen only?
Local co-op uses split-screen, allowing each monarch to move independently and manage different parts of the kingdom simultaneously. The side-scrolling nature means you each need your own view as you explore and defend separate flanks.
