How co-op works
Two players share the Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 campaigns; up to four share Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo 4. Teams fight through the original story missions, coordinating weapon pickups, vehicle seats, flanks, and safe positioning so fallen partners can respawn.

Campaign co-op runs best when teammates coordinate callouts, cover fire, and vehicle roles, especially on higher difficulties where enemy AI punishes lone wolves. The sandbox combat encourages shared tactics, whether you're clearing Covenant squads or racing through vehicle sections. Meanwhile, the multiplayer suite offers everything from team slayer to objective modes across remastered and original maps.
The collection supports online co-op, LAN co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer, making it easy to jump into matches or story missions with friends on different systems. With six campaigns to tackle together and a deep multiplayer offering, the collection delivers both long co-op playthroughs and quick versus sessions.
