How co-op works

Up to four local or online players combine fighter, sniper, tank, and engineer roles. Colored enemy barriers can only be broken by the matching ally, forcing target handoffs; allies chain combos, revive fallen members, and share gold and health drops instead of competing for them.

About this game

Full Metal Furies is a cooperative action RPG from the creators of Rogue Legacy, built around a combat system that makes every player essential. Four distinct heroes with specialized abilities must work together to break enemy shields, interrupt attacks, and survive waves of enemies that punish solo tactics. The game rewards tight teamwork and quick communication more than raw reflexes.

Each character brings unique tools to the battlefield, from shield-breaking melee strikes to long-range support abilities. Combat encounters are designed so that no single hero can handle every threat, forcing the team to coordinate target priority, crowd control, and positioning. The chaotic party-style encounters keep everyone engaged and actively calling out targets.

Full Metal Furies supports up to four players in both online co-op and local couch sessions, including split-screen for console-style setups. Solo play is possible with AI companions, but the game shines when real players coordinate over voice chat. Expect sessions that turn into lively debates about strategy, laced with frantic shouts when enemy waves flood the screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play Full Metal Furies solo, or do I need other players?

You can play solo with AI companions, but the game is really built for multiplayer. The combat system requires coordination between different hero abilities, so it shines when you have real players communicating over voice chat rather than relying on AI.

How does the team coordination actually work in combat?

Each of the four heroes has specialized abilities-like shield-breaking melee or long-range support-and enemies are designed so no single character can handle every threat. You'll need to call out targets, coordinate who breaks shields, who interrupts attacks, and manage positioning together. Solo tactics get punished quickly.

Can we play locally on one screen, or is it online only?

Full Metal Furies supports both local couch co-op and online co-op for up to four players. You can play split-screen locally or set up an online party-whatever works for your group.

Is this game more about skill or teamwork?

Teamwork comes first. The game rewards tight coordination and quick communication more than raw reflexes. You'll spend time debating strategy and frantically calling out enemies during chaotic encounters, making it feel more like a party-style experience than a twitch action game.
